Effective date: June 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pulse platform, including its web application, mobile features, and SMS messaging services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using Pulse, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
Pulse is a hotel guest management and communication platform operated from British Columbia, Canada. Pulse serves independent and boutique hotels (“Hotel Customers”) and enables those hotels to communicate with their guests (“Guests”) through the platform. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Pulse.
2. Who these Terms apply to
These Terms apply to two categories of users:
- Hotel Customers: Hotels and hospitality businesses that subscribe to and use the Pulse platform to manage guest communications.
- Guests: Individuals who receive communications through Pulse as a result of their reservation or stay at a Hotel Customer property.
3. SMS messaging
Pulse enables Hotel Customers to send SMS and related messages to Guests via the platform. By providing a mobile phone number to a Hotel Customer (whether at booking, check-in, or via a pre-arrival form), you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to your stay, which may include:
- Reservation confirmations and check-in instructions
- Room readiness notifications
- Service request updates and responses
- Hotel-initiated communications during your stay
- Post-stay follow-up messages
Message frequency will vary depending on the nature of your stay and your interactions with the hotel. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
To opt out of SMS messages at any time, reply STOP to any message. To request help, reply HELP. Opting out will discontinue all SMS communications for your stay via this platform.
4. Hotel Customer responsibilities
Hotel Customers who use Pulse to send messages to Guests agree to:
- Obtain valid, documented consent from Guests prior to sending SMS messages
- Comply with all applicable laws governing electronic communications, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable US regulations (including A2P 10DLC requirements for US-bound messages)
- Use the platform only for lawful, hospitality-related communications
- Not send unsolicited marketing messages or messages unrelated to the Guest’s stay without explicit additional consent
- Maintain accurate Guest contact information and honour all opt-out requests promptly
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Pulse platform to:
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or communications to individuals who have not consented
- Harass, threaten, or harm any person
- Transmit false or misleading information
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent, or interfere with the platform’s operations
6. Intellectual property
All content, software, trademarks, and materials associated with Pulse are owned by or licensed to Pulse. Hotel Customers retain ownership of their own data and guest information. No rights are transferred by use of the platform except the limited license to use the Services as described herein.
